Accesibility
Our Approach to Website Accessibility
Eisai is constructing a website for easy access and use by everyone, regardless of any disability an individual may have. This approach not only benefits persons with disabilities but is also an effective approach for persons in other adverse situations, such as those having weakened eyesight, having trouble operating a website temporarily because of an injury, or operating personal computers that lack the requirements to access websites sufficiently.
We welcome your comments and opinions related to improving our website accessibility.
Reference Guidelines for Accessibility
Eisai has prepared accessibility guidelines that refer to the Priority 1 level of checkpoints contained in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG1.0) of the W3C, and the series of 1988 amendments to Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act of 1973. In addition, the use of JavaScript in Web pages is held to a minimum and efforts are made to provide replacement content for environments where it is impossible to access information using JavaScript. Depending on the content, however, there may still be one or more groups that find it impossible to access JavaScript. As much as feasible, therefore, please utilize a browser that allows interpretation of JavaScript.
Approach to Preparation and Renewal of Content
When a new page is to be prepared, or when a page is to be changed in some way, it is made publicly available online only after first evaluating it according to the company’s accessibility guidelines. Periodically, moreover, the overall webpage is reviewed according to the accessibility guidelines to determine whether all the content follows the guidelines.
